Can I use this cookware on my induction top stove?
Our 7-ply set, the KT17ULTRA, was made specifically for induction top stoves. There is a layer of carbon steel between the layers of surgical stainless steel in this set. This makes the utensils extremely magnet-attractive, perfect for induction tops.

What's a good way to clean stainless steel cookware? What if a pot gets stained?
There are a couple of different cleaners on the market for cleaning stainless steel cookware, and your stainless sinks also. We prefer powder, it just seems to work faster, but you can also purchase liquid. You can use the stainless steel cleaner for both the inside and outside of the pots. Just a bit of elbow-grease and the little brown spots you've gotten from overheating your pot will disappear, and your pots will look shiny and new as can be in not time at all. Just check with your local supermarket and select the brand you prefer. And remember to always rinse your cookware thoroughly. Now, thanks to several of our customers we've learned that most often, elbow grease and a tough cleanser isn't always necessary in cleaning stainless steel cookware. Many of our customers are reporting that all you have to do is take a few tablespoons (depending on the size of your pot or pan) of dish washer detergent - liquid or granular, such as Cascade - add a little water, mix together, and heat the substance in the soiled pot on your stove-top for several minutes. After this, if there is still residue left on the pot's surface, it can easily be wiped away with a cloth or sponge.

Can I put this cookware in my dishwasher?
As far as being dish-washer safe, the pots are completely dish-washer safe, however, because of the mechanism of the steam release valve, it is suggested that the lids not be placed in a dishwasher.

How are the handles attached to your pots? How dependable are the handles?
The handle brackets are welded onto the pots so that no rivets or screws are inside the pans. A stainless steel flame guard is placed between the textured, virtually indestructible, non-slip handle and the pot itself. The phenolic handles are superbly styled. They're resistant to heat, cold, and detergents, and can be placed in an oven up to 350 degrees. Each handle is molded with a very large eyelet that will permit hanging the utensils. For convenient storage simply invert the cover, nest it in the proper pan and hang or stack your cookware.

What is the major difference in the 7ply and 9ply sets?
The number of plies should be a matter of preference because the quantity of plies is more about marketing strategies than quality. After doing their research customers who have choosen either the 9ply or 7ply have all been perfectly happy with their cookware, and we've never had to accept a return on any set because of quality. Other than the plies, the differences in the sets are quite minor. Unless they own an induction-top stove, we always tell our customers that it should be a simple matter of preference when they make their decision, because the quality is very high in all three sets.
